EVENT POSTPONED

Unfortunately, due to lower-than-expected participant numbers, we have made the extremely tough decision to postpone the NSPCC Half Marathon, which was due to take place on 26th June.

We appreciate the countless hours that our participants put into training for this event, but with less than 150 participants it is not a viable event at this stage. Runners have been cautious in returning to events compared to pre-COVID levels, and we expect a more positive uptake next year. The NSPCC wants to retain this long-standing event on the racing calendar to raise much-needed funds and so we will postpone it until 2nd July 2023.

“Freya Hollingsworth, Community Fundraising Manager from the NSPCC feels that whilst it will be disappointing news for our runners, the decision was not made lightly. She’d like to thank everyone for their interest in the event and will be looking forward to supporting participants with their fundraising and training for when the event returns in 2023.”

We must work with our key stakeholders to secure an alternative date for the delayed event.

We will send you another update within the next 10 days with your options going forward.

We understand and share your disappointment with this outcome.
